How to Change Your Money Mindset as a Christian Entrepreneur
You can know exactly what the Bible says about money and still struggle to make money decisions with confidence.
You can know that God is your Provider.
You can believe that everything belongs to Him.
You can pray about your business, read your Bible, set goals and genuinely want to honor God with your work.
And yet…
You still hesitate to put yourself out there and scale.
You overthink your next move.
You wonder if you're doing too much.
You hold yourself back from bigger opportunities.
You tell yourself you're waiting on God when, underneath it, you may simply be afraid to move.
I know because I've watched this happen with Christian women entrepreneurs who genuinely love the Lord and genuinely want to build businesses that honor Him.
And one of my clients, is a perfect example.

🌺 How she shift her money mindset
She wasn't lacking ambition. She was playing small.
When she came to me, she wanted clarity and confidence.
She wanted to shift the thinking that was holding her back, get organized and stop playing small.
She was already financially smart.
She was already a coach.
She had ideas.
She had a desire to serve.
But she was stuck.
At one point she described it this way: “Going with my comfort zone rather than my calling. Been doing this for years.”
That sentence tells you a lot.
Because sometimes what looks like a business strategy problem is much deeper.
You can have the offer.
You can have the skills.
You can have the experience.
You can even have the strategy.
And still find yourself shrinking back when it's time to actually act.
For that particular client, we needed to go underneath the behavior and uncover what was driving it.
That's a significant part of the work we do inside my 7-Step Biblical Money Mindset Framework.
We don't simply look at what you're doing with money.
We look at what may be happening underneath it.
🌺 What was really keeping her small?
During one of our sessions, she shared: “Allowing others' opinions and judgments of me has controlled me way too long.”
She was afraid of what might happen if she went all in on her business.
She had played small for years because, in her mind, ambition had once come at a cost.
She didn't want success to pull her away from God.
She didn't want business to take her away from her family.
She didn't want to repeat mistakes from an earlier season of her life.
So playing small had started to feel safer.
Even though it was also keeping her from fully stepping into what she believed God was calling her to do.
Then something shifted.
She told me: “When I speak up and let my words be heard, nothing bad actually happens.”
And then she said something that really captured the breakthrough:
“I am realizing that playing small means I'm selfish. I'm not putting my best self out there into the world and I am being disobedient.”
That is a very different conversation from: “What marketing strategy should I use?”
She didn't simply need another business tactic.
She needed to look honestly at what was influencing the way she was making decisions.
And then we brought that into the light of God's Word.
🌺 Christian Money Mindset
This is why your relationship with money matters
Your relationship with money doesn't only show up when you're spending.
It can show up when you're:
deciding what to charge
receiving money
looking at your bank account
making an investment
considering a business opportunity
deciding whether to scale
trying to sell
setting financial goals
thinking about leaving that part time job and step fully into your calling
or deciding whether you're allowed to want more
And sometimes the thing you call “being wise” is actually fear.
Sometimes what you call “waiting on God” is avoidance.
Sometimes what you call “humility” is playing small.
Sometimes what you call “being responsible” is scarcity.
That's why simply knowing what you should do isn't always enough.
You need to understand what is happening inside you when money becomes uncomfortable.
That's the work I help Christian women entrepreneurs do.
🌺 She didn't just have a mindset breakthrough. She started making different decisions.
This is the part I want you to pay attention to.
The goal wasn't for her to feel inspired after our sessions.
The goal was transformation that showed up in her real life.
Over our work together, we worked through her money beliefs, fear, perfectionism, decision-making, business direction, pricing, content, and the practical decisions she was facing.
She learned to recognize when she was getting stuck in her own head.
She learned to challenge the patterns that were keeping her small.
She learned to make decisions from faith rather than fear or frustration.
And she created practical plans for her business while learning to trust God with the outcome.
At one point she told me: “When God's in control then there is no anxiety or stress, only faith and trust in Him.”
And later: “I feel empowered and excited and when I get the wobbles, I look at my worksheet and read my scriptures.”
Then came a decision she had wanted to make for a long time.
She resigned from her job and stepped fully into her business.
In three months, she generated $40,000 and continued signing new clients into the six-week offer we had created and priced together.
But I want to be very clear about something.
Her $40,000 wasn't the point of the transformation.
The point was that she stopped allowing fear, perfectionism, other people's opinions and scarcity to make her decisions for her.
She became clearer.
She took action.
She created and priced an offer.
She stepped forward.
And she learned to steward the money God provided without making that money her source of security. That's a very different definition of success.
🌺 You may not need another business strategy
Maybe you've been learning about business for years.
Maybe you know what you should be doing.
Maybe you've bought the courses, mastermind, business coaching.
Maybe you've prayed about your next step.
Maybe you've set the financial goal.
And yet something keeps pulling you back into the same patterns.
